Opus Trust Chooses Open Comms For PR Support

Open Communications, the Yorkshire based straight-talking PR and content agency, has secured a retained agreement with Opus Trust Communications, the multichannel communication specialists based in Leicester, to deliver ongoing PR, social media and content support.

Developing a schedule of activity that will provide a balance of earned, owned and social engagement, the agency will support the organisation as it embarks on ambitious targets to secure £28m turnover during 2019.

Completing an initial project, which saw the agency work alongside the team as it completed a restructure, investment and rebrand of the business to Opus Trust Communications to set the tone for the future, Open was appointed as preferred PR partner.

Director of Open Communications, Lindsey Davies, comments: “Having worked within similar industries for many years, we took the time to really get to grips with the culture at Opus and to understand better what the business wanted to use its PR and communications to achieve.

“Putting our ideas into practice has already delivered results and we are now looking forward to seeing how we can take this forward and implement a strategy that will have a positive impact on the business and its bottom line.”

Sales and Marketing Director for Opus Trust Communications, Richard Farmer, comments: “When Open came to meet with us it was with the brief to look at things differently and to review how we were approaching our engagement with stakeholders, clients and the wider audience.

“What stood out for us was the honesty that we were able to share, which meant we could get to the point but also agree on the tactics we use and where we want to be. Having this kind of relationship means we can work together to try new things and to build a strategy that works for our business.”

Open Communications is celebrating 10 years in business, providing retained PR, social media and marketing content support for a range of clients including AD:VENTURE, the ERDF funded programme; Coalfields Regeneration Trust, the only organisation to support former mining communities; Ring, the automotive aftermarket experts; iSource, the digital recruitment specialists and HARIBO, the leading gums and jellies brand.
