Nominations now open for new business awards

Nominations for a brand-new business awards in Hull and East Yorkshire are now open for entry.

Founded by award-winning entrepreneur and innovator Jo Fleming, the Hull and East Yorkshire People in Business Awards will recognise and reward individuals and teams in all areas of work, across all industry sectors, from recruitment to retail.

With eleven categories available, there are a wide variety of awards up for grabs… whether you know a Rising Star, an Entrepreneur of the Year or somebody who deserves a Lifetime Achievement award, the Hull and East Yorkshire People in Business Awards aim to celebrate them all.

Free of charge to enter, the prestigious awards will see nominees being judged by a panel of high-profile local business people selected for their wealth of experience and business acumen.

Taking place on Friday 12th July at the Doubletree by Hilton, Hull, the evening promises to be one to remember with a number of special guests in attendance to congratulate the winners.

Enhancing the theme of success within business is 2008 Apprentice winner, Lee McQueen, who will serve as compere for the evening. Alongside Lee will be key note speakers Rob and Paul Forkan. The brothers will tell their own inspirational story of overcoming adversity after they were left orphaned by the 2004 tsunami.

The exhilarating five-piece party band The Tzars complete the entertainment for the evening, and guests will also enjoy a three-course meal and a silent auction during their night of celebration.

Jo Fleming says of the awards: “Supporting and nurturing talent in the workplace is essential in order to improve the quality of the current workforce and encourage a higher standard of performance in younger generations.

“Many business awards focus solely on the business themselves, whereas the HEY PIBA’s focus on both individual team members and companies as a whole, giving employees the chance to gain recognition for their hard work.

“We look forward to reading all about the nominations and finding Hull and East Yorkshire’s deserving award winners.”

Nominations for the HEY PIBA awards close on Friday 26th April. Tickets cost £70 each, or £650 for a table of ten. For more information or to enter, visit: https://www.heypibawards.com/
