Celebrity chef dons his whites for Jane Tomlinson Appeal’s Sporting Social

Celebrity chef and restaurateur Matt Healy will be cooking up a storm for guests at major fundraiser for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.

Matt, who wowed the judges on Masterchef: The Professionals and runs the incredibly-popular Foundry restaurant in Leeds, will be leading the kitchen at the event in September.

He will be serving his famous roast dinner – which was recently crowned Britain’s best – to around 300 guests at the event at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds.

It’s a rare opportunity for people to enjoy Matt’s award-winning dish, as his restaurant is booked up weeks in advance.

Matt said: “Jane was hugely inspirational to me; I have done a few of the Leeds 10Ks myself.

“So I was honoured to be asked to get involved and to be able to do my bit to help support children and people living with cancer.

“I’m really looking forward to supporting the event and serving my food to the guests – get your tickets for this fantastic event today.”

The Sporting Social – back for a third year and hosted by TV’s Clare Balding – will see sports personalities reminisce about their greatest moments, on and off the field.

The big names of athletics, football, cricket and rugby will also take on the audience in a fast-paced sports speed quiz to see if their brains match their brawn!

Guests already lined up include Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill and Ryan Sidebottom.

The Sporting Social will take place at the Queen’s Hotel, Leeds, on Friday 27th September. Tickets are on sale now, and are already selling fast. Tickets are priced, £65 a head, or £600 for a table of 10, and include all entertainment, welcome reception drinks and a two-course Matt Healy dinner.

To purchase tickets go to https://www.janetomlinsonappeal.com/sportingsocial or if you would prefer to be invoiced, please email katie@janetomlinsonappeal.com

Funds raised will go to support the Appeal’s work with children and people affected by cancer.
