Airtasker appoints Journey Further to deliver PR and SEO activity

Performance marketing agency Journey Further has won the PR and SEO accounts for community platform Airtasker, an online noticeboard for outsourcing and taking on tasks, that has recently expanded into Leeds after a successful London launch.

The account was awarded following a competitive pitch, with Journey Further replacing two agencies to deliver both digital and traditional PR as well as SEO through its Influence team.

Journey Further will be working closely with Airtasker to increase its brand awareness and to build trust and advocacy as it continues its regional roll out across the UK. Using its holistic approach, the team will work on a combination of PR tactics, influencer and partnership engagement, along with targeted link acquisition to support SEO.

Journey Further won the retained work after impressing Airtasker with a campaign, which advertised for a Yorkshire pudding taste tester. Securing over 60 pieces of coverage, 50 links and mentions on radio and national TV, the campaign has already been shortlisted in the Northern Digital Awards.

Lucas London, General Manager at Airtasker, said: “Journey Further’s values and outlook completely aligns with ours and the coverage and brand awareness from the initial campaign has been phenomenal. We’re all looking forward to continuing working with the team as they develop further award worthy campaigns.”

Beth Nunnington, PR Director commented:

“We are very excited to be working with such a dynamic and ambitious company which is looking to push the boundaries and disrupt the casual job market. Airtasker has fully embraced our strategy for them and trusted us to help them build not only its brand nationally but also to continue to support its regional rollouts.”

The senior Journey Further Influence team – Alex Postance, Managing Director; Steve Walker, SEO Director; and PR Director Beth Nunnington – has over 10 years’ of experience on a vast range of PR and SEO clients such as Apple, Disney, Tesco, Ann Summers, Leeds Building Society and JD Sports.
