Managing Partner of the Leeds office of DLA Piper
Sarah Day is managing partner of the Leeds office of DLA Piper and head of the Finance & Projects group in Yorkshire.
In addition to her professional commitments in the region, Sarah is an elected member of DLA Piper’s International LLP Board, representing the interests of the wider partnership and contributing significantly to the strategic delivery of the firm’s global aspirations.
In her role as managing partner for Leeds, Sarah works closely with her fellow partners to develop DLA Piper’s offering in Yorkshire for the benefit of our clients in the region and further afield. Leading the implementation of a strategic growth plan for Leeds, Sarah ensures that the right people and structures are in place so that clients are given the best advice and service possible. This approach also ensures that opportunities are identified and embraced to secure continued success for the office.
With roots in Yorkshire dating back 200 years, DLA Piper is home to over 4,200 lawyers operating out of 76 offices in 30 countries across the globe, and is now one of the world’s largest law firms. Our global reach and local expertise allows us to support our Yorkshire-based clients, whatever their interests and wherever they work.
Doing business for Yorkshire wherever Yorkshire does business is a mantra we stick to. We are closely aligned with the objectives The Yorkshire Mafia is trying to achieve and this makes collaboration between our two organisations an obvious fit. A unified approach to supporting Yorkshire is key, attracting new opportunities whilst promoting the region on the national and international stage.
DLA Piper became one of the largest legal service providers in the world in 2005 through a merger of unprecedented scope in the legal sector. While large in scale, the merger strategy was simple – to create a global law firm capable of taking care of the most important legal needs of clients wherever they do business. We wanted our clients to rely on receiving the right service for their particular matter, whether requiring seamless coordination across multiple jurisdictions or delivery in a single location.
