The Yorkshire Mafia Conference 2011: Overview
by Geoff Shepherd
If Facebook is cool…
On Tuesday March 15th 2011 the inaugral Yorkshire Mafia Conference took place at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.
78 happy exhibitors, 1286 happy delegates, 11 delighted sponsors, a terrific line up of speakers as well as our mighty Billion Pound Panel (£4.1bn of business expertise) where wisdom, insight and humour were the order of the day. Deals were done, connections were made and relationships began. The day was packed out from start to finish. Exhibition stands sold out well in advance. Delegate places were fully booked. Seminars were heavily oversubscribed. All boxes ticked. Not bad for a first ever conference.
Pre and post-conference we won a lot of press attention; headlining in both regional and national business pages. A 12-page supplement in the Yorkshire Post with follow up stories and videos. Half a page in the Sunday Telegraph, a page in the Daily Telegraph to name but a few.
